major and minor in biology. Individuals wishing to teach biology
on the secondary level must complete a broad field program in science
education and a minor in secondary eduication.

Summer Research Opportunities:
There are possible research opportunities within the Department
during the summer. You should inquire to the individual faculty members
as to openings they may have on their research projects.
Outside Charleston Southern:
Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program – These programs
are conducted on campus across the country for interested chemistry/biochemistry
students. Each student will have an individual project, the chance
to work in a graduate level research environment and present a brief
Powerpoint presentation on their work at the summer’s conclusion.
